Elasticsearch Index Lifecycle Management (ILM) and Curator

今天在 survey Elasticsearch Index Lifecycle Management(ILM) 時，突然看到這篇文章有提到 Curator 的設定方式:

當elasticsearch硬碟滿了

Curator 的作用是在某一台 linux 機器上，定期起一個 process ，並發送 delete index request 給 elasticsearch

想說我用 v7.8.0 好像沒看過相關的討論，後來才發現在 v6.6.0 版的時候，ILM 就取代掉 Curator:

然後 v6.6.0 是 2019.01 的 release，提到 Curator 那篇是 2018 發的，就這麼剛好錯過囉~
